On October 28, Chinese autonomous heavy truck company Titan Tech officially unveiled its online capacity service platform "TT One" and announced the commercial rollout of its autonomous driving dump truck fleet. This fleet is now the world’s first Level 4 autonomous driving dump truck team to provide commercial capacity services at bulk cargo terminals. Titan Tech also reported securing nearly 14 million USD in orders.
TT One serves as an end-to-end autonomous driving capacity service platform, designed to meet freight demand through an innovative "virtual driver" business model. To support capacity delivery, TT One is equipped with a range of productivity tools, including flexible task editing, intelligent vehicle scheduling, transportation status monitoring, and remote parallel driving. These features ensure that TT One can effectively tackle the challenges of complex transportation scenarios.
After a year of research and field testing, TT One has fully integrated with port capacity infrastructure, enabling intelligent autonomous driving transport processes from berth to yard for bulk cargo. This method is specifically tailored to meet the operational needs of bulk ports, enabling them to adopt autonomous driving transport services with minimal adaptation costs while achieving efficiency levels comparable to those of human drivers.
Titan Tech's approach for TT One combines low cost with high availability offering scalable autonomous driving solutions tailored to real-world service needs. By employing a multi-modal fusion perception AI model and advanced planning and control algorithms, TT One achieves precise environmental modeling within a 100-meter range and exceptional vehicle control。Collaborations with vehicle manufacturers further optimize pre-installed autonomous technology, reducing implementation and maintenance costs.
Through its "virtual driver" and intelligent scheduling systems, TT One generates commercial value by significantly reducing labor costs, the largest component of transport service expenses. Utilizing pure electric heavy trucks,it delivers low-emission, high-efficiency transport solutions that significantly reduce overall transport costs and offer substantial profit growth potential for end customers. Additionally, TT One can deploy critical system components on-demand across various environments, including bulk ports, mines, and steel mills, ensuring seamless transitions in capacity services.
The company has forged strong partnerships with research teams in artificial intelligence and autonomous driving systems at Nanjing University of Science and Technology.Dr. Liu Huafeng, co-founder and CTO of Titan Tech, is part of the university's autonomous driving systems team. Titan Tech collaborates with Professor Lu Jianfeng's ground autonomous driving equipment research team to integrate heavy autonomous driving equipment R&D experience into its technology development, accelerating product commercialization.
Additionally, Titan Tech has established a joint laboratory for autonomous driving perception technology with Professor Li Zechao from the School of Computer Science at Nanjing University of Science and Technology. This collaboration aims to translate advanced AI research on large multi-modal perception models into practical applications, thereby enhancing the perception capabilities of heavy trucks in challenging environments.
With significant progress in product development and commercial operations, Titan Tech has completed two rounds of financing over the past year, gaining strategic support from stakeholders in scene exploration and industrial ecosystems, resulting in a substantial increase in order volume and feasible scenarios. The company is currently launching its internationalization strategy and actively engaging with strategic investors from overseas, including those from the UAE.
